Auraya is not a festival in the usual sense. It is a living pilgrimage of light, love, and remembrance, rooted in Sri Lanka’s sacred landscape and expressed through music, silence, and community.

Held in Hanthana, Kandy, one of the most sacred citis in Sri Lanka, Auraya unfolds as a four-day journey of devotion, healing, and peace. Guided by the rhythms of sunrise and nightfall, participants gather to sing, move, listen, and rest together, allowing nature to become the temple and sound to become the bridge between worlds.

Rooted in Sri Lanka’s spiritual landscape yet open beyond religious labels, Auraya brings together Sufi, Bhakti, Christian, and interfaith traditions in reverence, silence, and celebration. The experience moves gently from remembrance to devotion, from healing to unity, culminating in a silent sunrise pilgrimage that seals the Seed Edition.

Auraya “M NOUR” is not a performance-driven festival. It is a fully held, fully nourished gathering where all meals, accommodation, transport, and care are included, allowing participants to surrender completely into the journey.
